About Us

Rattikin Title is a family-owned title company in Tarrant County and one of the largest independent title agencies in Texas. Though we have grown to eight offices across Tarrant County, the Rattikin family has remained visible in every aspect of the business. In fact, throughout our 75 year history, there have been only three CEO’s—all within the Rattikin family. As a result, Rattikin Title has consistently maintained a tradition of integrity, service and excellence for three generations and counting.

Additionally, our resources are second to none. With a combination of online resources and a Title Plant dating back to sovereignty, we have the ability to trace title records back to 1845.

“Our company is built on integrity—not only out of our own morality, but also out of respect for our clients and our community.”– Jack Rattikin Jr.

With over 75 years of experience, we are a leader in the Texas title insurance industry. All three of our CEO’s have served in top leadership roles of both the Texas Land Title Association (TLTA) and the American Land Title Association (ALTA).

In 1916 WWI was in full swing, Woodrow Wilson was President and our founder, Jack Rattikin Sr., had just graduated from the University of Texas School of Law.

After a short time as an attorney in West Texas, Jack Rattikin Sr. returned to Fort Worth, Texas to be closer to family. Upon his return, he was approached by Maco Stewart to join an up-and-coming Galveston-based company called Stewart Title. Jack agreed and began to travel across the state recruiting new agents and educating them about abstracts and title insurance as the title insurance industry was just beginning to grow. Eventually Jack Sr. was asked to manage all Texas Stewart Title Agents and opened up his own law firm, Rattikin and Spiller.

After years with Stewart Title, building the Texas market, Jack Sr.’s dreams to start his own title company became a reality. In 1943, Jack Sr. received a call from a friend who wanted to gift Jack Sr. a title plant—the only stipulation being that the entire plant had to be moved out of its existing downtown Fort Worth building by 5:00 PM that evening. So, Jack Sr. called a trucking company, pulled up next to the building, tossed all of the cards out the second story window into the truck and in 1944 Rattikin Title was officially formed.

For over 75 years, we’ve called Fort Worth home. As the city has grown, so have we. We choose to raise our company and our families here and remain committed to our community. From Sundance Square to the Bass Performance Hall, we are with Fort Worth every step of the way. In fact, we have closed just about every piece of property in Downtown Fort Worth.

Though we now have eight offices across Tarrant County, our Corporate Office has always been in Downtown Fort Worth. Our inaugural office was in the First National Bank Building in Downtown Fort Worth at 7th and Houston where founder, Jack Rattikin, Sr., closed his first Rattikin Title transaction. We then moved to W.T. Waggoner Building at 8th and Houston St. followed by the Petroleum Building at 6th and Throckmorton. Today, our corporate office is in the Wells Fargo Tower at City Center where we will continue to serve our community for years to come. Our roots are deeply planted in Fort Worth and Tarrant County, and we are here to stay.

“Our local community is vitally important to us. We encourage our staff, family and friends to support local businesses, retailers, restaurants, and sports teams within our community. In turn, we appreciate it when our clients support their hometown title company – Rattikin Title”– Jack Rattikin III

Rattikin Title issued title insurance policies underwritten by Kansas City Title Insurance from 1944 until its merger with Chicago Title Insurance in 1968. Chicago Title’s parent company, Fidelity National Financial, is presently the world’s largest title insurance underwriter, and Rattikin Title is one of its largest independent agents. We have the ability to offer our policyholders unsurpassed security as we are able to handle real estate transactions in every county in Texas, and throughout the United States, with the help of the following underwriters and partners:

“Our people are our strength. Our people make us who we are.”
