The objectives of this course are to educate realtors on the law related to landowner liability and provide a five-step list of ways that property owners can protect themselves from potential liability. This will include a discussion of the law related to trespass, premises liability, liability waivers, the Texas Recreational Use Statute, the Texas Agritourism Act, and the Texas Farm Animal Liability Act. Additionally, the course will discuss important issues for property owners such as selecting liability insurance coverage and evaluating the use of business entities as a form of liability protection.
